Description
This is an original set of Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. factory lapel badges & ENGRAVED workers WW2 medal set. This group all belonged to a factory worker called Basil Wetkin who worked for a long period of time at the factory including during WW2 when the factory was most famous for producing the Beaufighter aircraft. As a result of his war work at the factory during the war and his work with the ARP (Air Raid Precautions) he was awarded the WW2 Defence medal which he had privately engraved to: VOL. B A WETKIN. BRISTOL AIRCRAFT LTD. Also included in this rare grouping is Basil's ARP Silver lapel badge and his Bristol factory 20 & 25 years service badges, Engine Division badge and issue box. We also have a few other documents relating either to him or his close family such as wills etc. Postage: £2.00.
