Guaranteed original. This is a scarce named & engraved WW1 Princess Mary gift tin and 1914 Christmas card. It is engraved on the front: "Alexander J. W. McPherson 2613. 2nd Notts & Derby" and on the card is written in pencil: "To Pte A McPherson no. 2613 2nd Sherwood Forests". This is a rare identifiable Princess Mary tin to a soldier in the Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby) Regiment. The tin is in good condition, whilst the card's cover has SPLIT IN TWO and needs repairing.
