Ephemera relating to Private Alfred Wright 250838 Kings Liverpool Regiment, captured by the Germans at the begining of the German Spring Offensive 1918.

1. Buckinham Palace Letter and original envelope (overtyped with "A MESSAGE TO YOU FROM THE KING.") welcoming Pte Wright's release and return home. This message was issued to the 35,000 ex-British Empire service personnel who were reviewed by the King and other members of the Royal Family in Hyde Park on 23 November 1918.
2. Army Form B.104, advising next of kin that Pte Wright had been posted missing during the period 21 to 28 March 1918, together with (i) pamphlet providing information on
Missing Officers and Men (THIS IS MISSING A QUARTER OF THE PAGE AS PER PHOTO); (ii) notice defining the term "Missing" and (iii) original envelope.
3. Letter from the War Office dated 16th July 1918 acknowledging notification that Pte Wright as a Prisoner of War.
