How to Identify and Value WW1 British Cap Badges?

If you are looking how to identify WW1 British Army cap badges then please feel free to download our British Army Cap Badges of the First World War identification poster located below. This is a great resource we designed to help people with collections of WWI cap badges identify and value them. We area also very keen to purchase any cap badge collections you may have inherited so please feel free to email us photos of your collection to sales@britishmilitarybadges.co.uk and we will be happy to value them for you and make you an immediate cash offer to buy them.

We designed this poster using photographs of 100% original WW1 cap badges that were used during the Great War. It includes every one of the British Army's infantry regiments as they were on the eve of the World War One. Over the coming months, we are hoping to do a version for the Corps of the British Army during WW1 (e.g. Machine Gun Corps, Tank Corps, Royal Engineers, Army Service Corps etc.) and a cavalry and territorial forces one as well. But the first in our series is just the regular army Infantry Regiments. We have quality A2 printed versions of this poster in higher resolution located for sale for £5.99 here for the folded version or £19.99 for a rolled version that comes in a tube here, ideal for framing. However, please feel free just to copy the PDF image below if you'd rather not buy a printed copy.

We hope this poster will be a valuable tool and resource for collectors of WW1 cap badges and militaria and genealogists who are researching their family history and have had ancestors who fought in the war. Often people have inherited photos of their ancestors in uniform and whilst we don't have time to personally help you identify the badges that signify their unit or regiment, hopefully you'll be able to work it out yourself from the poster. If the badge is not on this poster then please check through our listings of corps cap badges located here or original British Army cavalry cap badges located here.

Again if you wish to sell your collection of WW1 memorabilia including medals, badges, documents, photos, please just email us for a cash offer at sales@britishmilitarybadges.co.uk
