Where to buy and sell British Army Field Manuals?

We are always happy to buy small groups or collections of British Army field manuals, particularly from the Victorian era, 1914-1918 War, WW2 etc. for cash. So, if you are looking where to sell your field training manuals, please just email us a few photos of what you have for sale to sales@britishmilitarybadges.co.uk . Alternatively click here for our purchasing page.

We have this week just purchased a large collection of British Army military field manuals, aide memoires, pocket service books, training booklets and other Royal Engineers related documents which we will be listing for sale in our Military Books and Pamphlets category today! It is a comprehensive collection of field manuals and weapons training books that we purchased off a lady whose father had served with the Royal Engineers in the Korean War and who had recently inherited his collection.

Some of the highlights include “Mines and Booby Traps Used in Korea”, “US Army Korean Phrase Book”, “Materiel in the Hands of or Possibly Available to the Enemy in Korea”, “Staff Duties in the Field”, “Notes on the British Army” and “Basic Field Engineering”.

British Army field manuals have been around since the 18th century and in a recognisable form since the Victorian era. They were often initially printed in small pocket-sized books with red covers. The first ones tended to cover the various branches of the army including cavalry tactics, infantry training, military engineering, artillery training etc. By the time of the First World War as well as the standard issue field manuals such as the Infantry Training Manual of 1914, you also had more specialised ones such as map reading, musketry regulations, Webley service revolver guide, Royal Flying Corps RFC training and weapons manuals such as for the Vickers Machine Gun.

Please view our current stock of training manuals in our Military Books and Pamphlets category and don’t forget to contact us if you have a group or collection of these you wish to sell. We buy many British army field manuals, training books and aide memoires each month and we are always happy to pay CASH for anything you might have.
